Afri Cola is one of those iconic caffeinated sodas that has been in production for over 80 years. Who can mistake this completely unique glass bottle. It has at times been seen as a competitor to Jolt Cola but sports a higher caffeine content along with a great cola flavor.
So how does Afri Cola compare to the other caffeinated sodas? In order of caffeine levels from highest to lowest: Afri-Cola, Jolt Cola, Mt Dew, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, Coca-Cola.
While Afri-Cola originated in Cologne, Germany in 1931 but it wasn't until 1959 when the "sexy waist" bottle was designed. In 1960, AfriCola caffeinated soda, came into its own with Charles Wilp's famous slogan "Sexy-mini-super-flower-power-pop-op-cola - everything is in afri cola."
