Spring Grove sodas date back to 1895 when it was developed by G.G. Ristey. Although some say a pharmacist created the sodas and G.G. was just the entrepreneur it didn't matter to the locals who loved the sodas. Spring Grove sodas have remained true to their roots of great tasting flavors mixed with pure cane sugar.

While grape is my favorite flavor, it's not the only soda I like.... Take orange, for example. In the late '60s (as a teen-ager) I can still remember the taste of what has to be the best orange soda ever produced: NESBITT's of California. Yes, I tried the "new Nesbitts" currently available, but found it not even close to the original. I recently ordered two more brands to try, those being SPRING GROVE and orange CRUSH. neither of these could equal the original nesbitts, but while they tasted similar, SPRING GROVE did have a slight edge over orange crush, probably because of the cane sugar they use for the sweetener. Both brands need more flavor concentrate and more sweetener for my taste. So the search goes on.
