NuGrape Soda has had a long soda history dating back to the early 1920's. The Nesbitt's Fruit Products Company was founded in 1924 by Hugh S. Nesbitt, and was franchised from Nesbitt Fruit Products, Los Angeles, California, producing syrups to be used in soda fountains. The company produced a full line of fountain products through the years including various fruit flavors to be mixed with soda water.

Although Nesbitt's came in a variety of flavors, all were marketed in the same bottle and identified by different caps. The brand was franchised to independent bottling companies all over the United States and around the world. Nesbitt's Fruit Products Company was eventually sold to Clorox in 1972.

Takes me back

Way better than the corn syrup variety we've been saddled with in recent times.

Nugrape is numero uno

I first had Nugrape when I was probably 5 or 6 years old. It is by far the best grape pop ever! I worked for Pepsi in the late 70's-early 80's and we sold Grapette. It was good, but no where near the caliber of Nugrape. Coca-Cola sold Nugrape and I would by a case of Nugrape from the Coke driver and put it in my Pepsi truck to take home. My boss said I should fire you for that, but he also agreed that Nugrape was the best grape pop. If you haven't tried Nugrape, then you don't know what you've been missing.

NuGrape: a truly superior grape soda

There are well over a dozen grape sodas marketed today. Some are acceptable but most aren't worth bringing home. NuGrape is one of a couple brands that command 5 stars. It's a full-bodied soda to be sure; It has a sweet, straight-forward grape flavor with just the right amount of carbonation. NuGrape frequently commands real estate in my fridge, and once you try it, I would bet you'll give it permanent space in your fridge as well. If you're searching for a superb grape, your search may be over. I don't dole out 5 star recommendations very easily; the product has to earn it.
