Tower Root Beer was first made in Boston nearly 100 years ago. Though it was discontinued in the late 1970’s, it has recently been brought back using the same original family recipe, and they don’t call it “Ye Olde Fashioned Root Beer” for nothing.
Tower Root Beer has a very strong herbal flavor with lots of sassafras and licorice that develops over time. There is also a strong minty flavor that comes in after the first contact that is accented by other spices. The sticky after taste of licorice and wintergreen finishes this “stout” root beer. Sure to be a favorite with lovers of hearty brews.
