Dr. Brown's Cel Ray

Description

Dr Browns Cel Ray is a lightly sweet, refreshing and kosher celery-flavored soda with nearly 150 years of success under its belt. Reminiscent of ginger ale, this mellow, lightly carbonated soft drink features – yes – celery flavor, coupled with dryness and a hint of peppery spiciness. Too strange to be true? Conceived as a tonic in the late 1860s, this beverage was at one time so popular it was known as “the Jewish Champagne” – the success of which allowed Dr. Brown’s to launch of host of other enduring flavors. More daring than any of today’s self-proclaimed “extreme” sodas, Dr. Brown’s Cel-Rey Soda been name-checked in episodes of Seinfeld, Gilmore Girls and even the Al Pacino classic Serpico – so don’t knock it, try it! With great-tasting flavor that delivers every time, it’s easy to taste why Dr. Brown’s line of sodas date back to 1869.

My Favorite Soft Drink!
I absolutely love this soft drink flavor. It's very refreshing--sort of a less spicy ginger ale but with a very distinctive flavor that is extremely appealing to me. It doesn't taste like celery to me although I know celery seeds are used in making the product. I know many people don't like this flavor or even hate it but I cant' understand why since I love it. But to each their own! Maybe it's genetic since I'm Jewish and my mother who introduced me to this product (calling it celery tonic) also loved it.
