Frostop Root Beer
was started in 1926 by Mr L.S. Harvey. It was in Springfield, Ohio that Mr. Harvey opened his first Frostop Root Beer soda stand. This creamy root beer was so well received by the public that it became familiar to millions of Americans over the years.
Frostop soda stands continued to be open until World War II. Rationing during that time impacted all materials including the sweeteners needed to manufacture Frostop Root Beer.
Soon after the war ended Frostop continued to grow under new ownership in 1950. The new owners of the Frostop brand continued with nationwide expansion of the chain and their well know revolving, neon root beer mug signs.
Today you can still enjoy the creamy goodness of Frostop Root Beer in glass bottles.
