Avery's Root Beer is a hand crafted root beer using pure cane sugar. Avery's sodas was started by Sherman Avery back in 1904 in a red barn located on Corbin Ave in Connecticut. Over 100 years later the tradition still carries on in one of the oldest soda bottling companies in New England.
All of the Avery’s sodas are still handcrafted using naturally pure well water in the same red barn that the company started in. Avery's has a typical root beer flavor. It is sweet with accents of caramel from the real cane sugar used. It has a medium sassafras flavor and is mildly creamy. It isn’t heavily carbonated and has a very smooth mouth feel. A light and sweet aftertaste makes this soda very refreshing.
